Connor Zilisch, Driver No. 57 Silver Hare Racing/KHI Management:

“I think we could’ve been better, but such is racing, right? We were just a little free off (the corner), but overall we still finished fifth and the car is in one piece, so I’m good with that. We were struggling with free off the corner all weekend, and the long race just made it worse over time. I’m sure everyone struggled with that. The track is low-grip, which didn’t help our issue. So I feel like we were kind of behind the eight-ball all weekend from where we started, but I still think we had a competitive piece. I feel like I outdid myself a little bit with my feedback, trying the chase the leaders when I think it was an unrealistic expectation. I think next weekend at Sonoma is going to be good, just from a standpoint of knowing what kind of surface we’re going to. Even as a driver, I didn’t really know what I was looking for this weekend in the car, so I think next weekend is going to be a lot better for us, just overall pace-wise. I’m just looking forward to Sonoma, and I’m still happy with a fifth-place result. That’s the best we’ve done all year and I feel like I ran a good race after getting put off track early on. Got back into the top-10 and feel like I made some smart decisions and ended up with a top-five.”

Lawless Alan, Driver, No. 25 AUTOParkIt/Silver Hare Racing:

“It was fun, but I kind of got drove off the track at the end, there. I was just trying to maintain eighth place because my rear tires were burned off. Otherwise, I didn’t have anything for the top-five. It felt good to be back in a TA2 car, a Silver Hare TA2 car. It’s always a lot of fun coming into a race where there’s no pressure, just drive it as fast as I can and do as good as I can do and try to make it all work. We were pretty good in the first half of the race, but we were fighting a little bit of free and, as the race wore on, the rear tires got more and more worn out, so I lost more and more drive. It feels good to take a few weeks off (from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series) and race in a competitive series like this, with a team like this, with no pressure. I’m looking forward to getting back to it in less than a week at Sonoma.”
