HIGH POINT, N.C. (May 26, 2026) – Silver Hare Racing faced the elements and fought through adversity at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, walking away with a career-best finish from Max Reaves and plenty of reasons to be encouraged heading into Round 6 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Rain was a factor throughout the day, with heavy precipitation in the early going sending all drivers to the grid on wet tires. The conditions made for a challenging and unpredictable afternoon, but Silver Hare Racing’s three drivers embraced the fight.
Noah Harmon started ninth in the No. 7 Cube 3/High Point Rockers Chevrolet and wasted no time making his presence felt. Harmon made several three-wide moves through the field and had worked his way inside the top five before disaster struck. Harmon’s machine ended up going off track and slid across the grass, sending Harmon head-on into the tire barriers. He was able to continue and ultimately finished 23rd.
“It’s frustrating because we had a really fast race car all day and the guys gave me everything I needed to compete up front,” Harmon said. “I was feeling good and making moves, but the wet track got us there. I’m proud of how hard everyone worked this weekend. We’ll take that and get ready for Indianapolis.”
Max Reaves delivered the highlight of the weekend in the No. 57 CookOut car, scoring a fourth-place finish for his first career top five in just his second TA2 weekend. Running behind Harmon in the early laps, Reaves used the opportunity to learn the wet track from one of the field’s most experienced drivers and translated that into one of the strongest runs of the race.
“I have to give so much credit to this race team,” Reaves said. “Our CookOut car was fast all day and being able to follow Noah early on and learn the wet track from him made a huge difference. It was only my second weekend in a TA2 car and racing in the rain like that was an incredible experience. I had a blast.”
Tanner Reif started deep in the field in the No. 75 Power Gen Components Chevrolet but showed immediate pace, charging all the way to 13th in the opening laps before a clutch issue dropped him several laps off the pace. Once the crew made repairs and sent him back out, Reif ran top-five lap times for the remainder of the race but could not recover the lost ground, finishing 22nd.
“It’s tough to swallow when the car is that fast and a mechanical issue takes you out of the fight,” Reif said. “Once we got it fixed I felt like we had one of the best cars on the track. I had so much fun running in the rain and the preparation we put in for these conditions really showed. I know how fast this car is and I can’t wait to get to Indianapolis.”
