Jake Drew, Driver, No. 7 Silver Hare Racing Chevrolet Camaro:
“I’m just super thankful to Maurice and Laura (Hull, co-owners), Gil (Martin, competition director) and Jeff (Holley, crew chief), everybody on this team that works so hard. We worked so hard this week and felt like we had a really strong piece going into that race. Happy to lead some of my first laps in the series, get my first podium, and just to be fighting all the way through this weekend was a true testament to how hard this team works and how hard I’m willing to work. I’m just super thankful to be a part of this organization. Hopefully there are some more podiums and some race wins in our future.”
Connor Mosack, Driver, No. 77 Silver Hare Racing/PRG Chevrolet Camaro:
“It was a frustrating day. We’ll have to figure out what we were really fighting. It’s like the places we were tight, we just kept getting tighter, and the places we were free, we were getting freer all race. It kind of fell off in these big chunks, so I’m not sure what caused that. We’ll do everything we can do to figure it out. Obviously, we had a good car in qualifying and thought we were really good at the beginning of the race, just kind of riding and staying with the leaders. And then all of a sudden we just lost all the grip and we were on defense the rest of the race. It was definitely not the most fun race of all time, but I guess you have those days. Overall, frustrated, but the car was good and we just have to figure out what the issues were.”
Boris Said Jr., Driver, No. 75 HendrickCars.com/Silver Hare Racing Chevrolet Camaro:
“We learned a lot this weekend, we definitely got faster and faster throughout. Unfortunately, the race was sort of over by turn four. We got hit and that really upset the handling the rest of the race. But it was still a learning experience. Just have to get better each and every track we go to and keep working hard.”
