(High Point, NC) William Byron captured his seventh NASCAR Cup Series pole at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course early Sunday Morning. The likes of Byron, fifth place qualifier Daniel Suárez, Christopher Bell and Harrison Burton have all spent time behind the wheel of Silver Hare Racing TA2 cars in 2021. Along with full season campaigns in the Trans Am Series in the TA2 class, Silver Hare Racing offers driver development opportunities through private testing and arrive-and-drive Trans Am race weekends in their TA2 cars.
With NASCAR forbidding teams from testing, and road courses becoming a bigger part of the Cup and Xfinity Series schedules, the Trans Am’s TA2 platform provides drivers valuable seat time on the same tracks and in similar cars. Earlier in the year, Christopher Bell credited Silver Hare Racing general manager and driver coach, Michael Self, with helping him secure his first Cup Series win on the road course at Daytona.
Silver Hare Racing team owners Maurice and Laura Hull are thrilled to see the likes of Byron, Bell, Suarez and others behind the wheel of their cars. “It’s been a pleasure working with these talented drivers over the past several months and great to see them do so well on the road courses in NASCAR”, said Laura Hull. “They’re at the top of the sport and having them behind the wheel of our cars has also helped us grow as a team. With NASCAR continuing to increase the emphasis on road course racing, we certainly look forward to assisting these drivers and others again in the future.”
