(High Point, NC) Silver Hare Racing is proud to announce that Glenn Long has joined the team as Competition Director. Long brings with him over ten years of professional racing experience in the top levels of sports car racing. He also formerly owned Long Road Racing, the organization tasked with developing the Global MX5 Cup Platform for Mazda, which also served as the OEM until 2019.
Long’s hiring reflects Silver Hare Racing team owners Maurice and Laura Hull’s commitment to continue building their team into a top-tier motorsports organization. Silver Hare Racing currently fields full-season entries in the Trans Am Series TA2 class and provides a road course driver development program for NASCAR Cup and Xfinity teams, as well as other road course racing series.
“Glenn is a huge asset in taking Silver Hare Racing forward to not only being a podium competitor in Trans Am, but escalating us to a leader in driver development for young and existing drivers in various series”, said Laura Hull. “His experience, knowledge, and prior successes enable him to assist our existing team members to reach further into their individual capabilities to achieve higher performance! We are all excited to have Glenn as part of our team!”
On joining Silver Hare Racing, Long said “I am so happy to have joined the Silver Hare Racing team. This is a strong, dynamic organization that really has their eye on the future. I’m delighted to be here!”
The Trans Am Series heads to Mid Ohio June 25-27, Long’s first race weekend at the track with Silver Hare Racing, which will be running three TA2 cars driven by Maurice Hull, Tyler Kicera and Michael Self.
